2015 Mohegan Sun Bus Trip
We’re at it again! This years casino bus trip will be held on Saturday, June 13! Come have some fun while supporting Sean’s Foundation.
The cost is $45/person which includes the bus to and from Mohegan Sun, $15 to gamble and $15 towards food. The bus leaves promptly at 4 from the Tri-Town Plaza in Seymour off of exit 19 of Route 8 (same plaza as Seymour Entertainment Cinemas).

2015 Sean Bertanza Wildcat Award
We’re thrilled to announce that on March 22, Nick Martins, Seymour High School Sophomore, was awarded the Sean Bertanza Wildcat Award. Previously this honor has been been awarded to Senior Basketball players. This is the first time it has been presented to a Sophomore. It’s very well deserved and we are very excited for Nick! Great job and keep up the great work.
2014 Christmas Donation
To keep the Christmas spirit alive and make Christmas a little brighter for others the Sean Bertanza Foundation donated to the Giving Tree for the Local YMCA.
Softball Donation for Ocular Melanoma Cancer
Philip Barto presented a donation on behalf of The Sean Bertanza Foundation to Madeline Schmitt who is battling a rare form of cancer ocular melanoma. On September 6, 2014 the Bj Schmitt family had a Shelton softball tournament at East Village Park in Shelton to raise funds. We wish you all the best Madeline.
2nd Annual Benefit Save the Date
Our 2nd Annual Benefit is right around the corner! Please join us on Saturday, October 11 at the Sons of Italy in Derby.
We had a great time last year at Danny O’s, and we’re going to have an even greater time this year! You won’t want to miss out on the festivities. Some highlights to look forward to include food, drinks, raffle prizes, and a chance to bid on 2 tix to the upcoming Jets vs. Patriots game.

And the 2014 Wildcat Scholarship Goes To….
We are excited to announce that the 2014 Wildcat Scholarship went to Ian Hardman!!!
Coach Carrafiello and the Seymour High School started the Sean Bertanza Wildcat Scholarship Fund to recognize a Senior basketball player each year for their positive attitude, determination, and dedication. Ian Hardman is the definition of this. His goal is to go to MIT in Boston this Fall! He would make a great addition to MIT and they would be lucky to have him.
Ian is a long time family friend and we couldn’t be happier to see the scholarship go to him. We know that this scholarship meant more to Ian than just a scholarship since he grew up with Sean. It’s an honor to see it go to him.
We are wishing Ian and the rest of the Senior Wildcat Basketball players much luck in their journeys.
