What We’ve Been Up To

It’s been a while since we’ve posted, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been active with Sean’s Foundation! Here are some things we’ve been up to:

Nina Strong – On December 5th the Sean Bertanza Foundation attended the fundraiser at Molto Bene in Seymour to make a donation in the amount of $500 to help support Nina Poeta and her family in her fight against brain cancer. Nina is an incredible 16 year old cheerleader attending Seymour High School. To learn more about Nina and to make a donation to help in her recovery, click here or visit https://www.facebook.com/PoetaStrong. They’ve held numerous fundraisers and it’s touching to see how the community has pulled together to help support the Poeta family.

Spooner House – On February 22nd the Sean Bertanza Foundation made a donation in the amount of $250 to the Spooner House, and also volunteered by stocking shelves with all the grocery items that were donated for the 12th Valley Has a Heart. The shelves were filled to the brim and it was nice to see how many people pulled together to help support the local community. The Spooner House in Shelton, CT provides food, shelter and support for people in need. It is a great cause and we were happy to be able to help. We are looking forward to doing more with the Spooner House in the future. To learn more about the Spooner House and make a donation, you can visit their website at http://www.actspooner.org.

Seymour High School Wildcat Basketball Scholarship – On March 23rd the Sean Bertanza Foundation will be handing out the next Seymour Wildcat Basketball Scholarship! This scholarship is given out in memory of Sean and is very near and dear to our hearts. We are looking forward to supporting the next basketball player attain his dream of basketball and college. We can’t wait to let you know who the lucky basketball player is. We’ll keep you posted.

We’re in the process of planning some more events. Check back often to see what we’ve been up to.
